My Story
Eric started Wordcraft in 2013.
Over the past 15 years, I've created businesses, launched products, built live experiences, and helped organizations communicate more clearly. I work at the intersection of strategy and execution—helping you find your message, build marketing that fits, and move meaningful projects forward.
I co-founded Mobile Escape, growing one of Canada's first mobile escape room companies into a multi-city operation serving schools, corporate clients, festivals, and public events with a team of up to 12 people. That experience taught me that great marketing isn't just writing and advertising—it's about creating experiences people remember.
From there, I co-founded Escape Mail, turning an experiential entertainment idea into a global e-commerce business. We launched successful Kickstarter campaigns, pitched on Dragon's Den, built a worldwide customer base through Shopify, Amazon, Walmart, and retail distribution, and grew the business to more than $1.2 million in annual revenue before selling the Mobile Escape brand in a six-figure acquisition.
I also created Escape Makers, a custom experiential marketing company that designed branded activations and interactive experiences for organizations including AMA, Ag for Life, ABCRC, and The Social Changery.
Along the way, I've worked inside agencies as Marketing Director at Jelly Marketing, where I learned from leaders like Darian Kovacs and helped clients across industries sharpen their positioning, campaigns, and communications. Since then, I've partnered with startups, nonprofits, hospitality brands, and professional service firms—leading everything from messaging and websites to paid advertising, email marketing, customer journeys, and fractional marketing leadership.
The thread running through all of it is simple: I enjoy bringing clarity to complexity. Whether I'm stepping into a growing business, a nonprofit campaign, or a product launch, my goal is the same—to help people communicate what matters and build marketing that creates momentum.
